Office Assistant

Job Summary:

The Office Assistant contributes to the overall success of the Big Bar Guest Ranch (BBGR) by effectively carrying out a variety of financial, administrative, and reporting requirements.  The Office Assistant focuses on providing the Ranch Manager with effective, professional, and timely assistance and solutions related to the financial and administrative requirements for the successful operation of the ranch.    

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduation from High School Grade 12 or equivalency.
  • Business Diploma is an asset.

Experience:

  • Three to four years financial and/or administrative experience and/or tourism
  • Demonstrated experience for administrative reliability and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining office systems and controls.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of word-processing, databases, and spreadsheets and financial software such as Quick books.
  • Demonstrated experience using a Reservation Management System or similar software is an asset.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must maintain strict confidentiality in performing duties and demonstrates personal attributes of integrity, respect, trust, honesty, compassion, and accountability.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Criminal Records Check.
  • Must have and maintain a valid BC Driver’s Licence.
  • Must provide a vehicle in good operating condition and appropriate vehicle insurance to meet program requirements.
  • Accommodation may be provided at the Ranch for the season.

Salary: Will be based on the candidate’s education and experience.
